VENUE

The tournament will be held at the SUN PLAZA SHOPPING MALL Sports Hall, located 23.2 km from Henri Coanda International Airport. The venue is easily accessible via the Piata Sudului subway station on Level -1 of the mall. For Metrorex train routes and schedules, visit www.metrorex.ro

TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW

Our goal is to deliver a high-level International Veterans (Masters) Tournament with exceptional facilities:

• Arena Features:
  • 16 KBS tables (expandable to 20 tables)
  • Parquet flooring
• Finals for all age categories will be held simultaneously on Sunday.
• Special accommodations are being arranged for participants at a partner hotel.

CATEGORIES

Open Category

• (Not limited by age)

Veterans (Masters) Age Categories:

• 30-39 years old (born in 1995 or earlier)
• 40-49 years old (born in 1985 or earlier)
• 50-59 years old (born in 1975 or earlier)
• 60-69 years old (born in 1965 or earlier)
• 70+ years old (born in 1955 or earlier)

EVENTS

• Men’s Open and Veterans (Masters) Single Men
• Women’s Open and Veterans (Masters) Single Women
• Doubles Open
• Veterans (Masters) Men’s Doubles and Veterans (Masters) Women’s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles (players born in 1995 or earlier)

Participation Guidelines:

• Players must compete in their respective age categories, except in doubles events.
• Doubles teams will compete in the age category of the younger partner.
• Substitute partners may be provided by the organizers, if available.
• In the case of limited participants in a category, age groups may be combined.
• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to adjust events without prior notice.

Late registrations may be accepted if the limits are available.

PARTICIPATION FEES

• Open Category                      : €30/player
• All Other Categories             : €70/player (one-time payment for all categories)

LIMITATIONS

In case of limited participant numbers in a category, adjustments may be made to ensure maximum play opportunities for all attendees. The organizers may revise schedules and formats as needed.

DRAW PROCEDURES

• The draw will occur prior to each event.
• Players must report to the organizers no later than 60 minutes before their event.
• Schedules, player lists, and draws will be available online at www.tt-spirit.com
• Players wishing to enter the Consolation event must indicate this on their qualification result sheet.

PROGRAMME

• Friday, August 22, 2025:
  • 09:00 – Open Tournament (up to semifinals)
• Saturday, August 23, 2025:
  • 09:00 – Age Categories Group Matches
  • 13:00 – Age Categories Doubles Group Matches
  • 15:30 – Age Categories Elimination Matches
• Sunday, August 24, 2025:
  • 09:00 – Doubles Elimination Matches
  • 10:00 – Age Categories Elimination Matches
  • 13:00 – Semifinals & Finals

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to adjust the program as necessary.

EQUIPMENT

• Official Balls          : KBS, ITTF-approved (***)
• Tables                     : KBS, ITTF-approved, 25 mm

TOURNAMENT FORMAT & REGULATIONS

• Players will be grouped for preliminary “round-robin” matches, with 3-4 players per group.
• Players from the same club will be separated unless there are more players than groups.
• Top two players from each group advance to the final “A.” Third and fourth-place players will compete in a Consolation Tournament using a one-loss elimination format.
• In the open tournament, there will not be Consolation matches.
• Finals draws are generated via ITTF-licensed software (www.tournamentsoftware.com).
• Matches will be played as best of five games in all categories.

  • 1st Place : Prize money, cup, medal, and gifts
  • 2nd Place               : Prize money, medal, and gifts
  • 3rd Place (x2)       : Prize money, medal, and gifts
• Veterans Men/Women Singles & Doubles:
  • 1st Place : Cup, medal, and gifts
  • 2nd Place               : Medal and gifts
  • 3rd Place (x2)       : Medal and gifts

ACCOMMODATIONS & DINING

CAFE IN THE ARENA

A cafeteria will be available at the venue throughout the tournament.
